Dinner with Frank and Nancy
Frank and Nancy were in town for a few weeks. Frank was seconded here for four years from the States. He and Nancy (wife) fell in love with Melbourne, especially the food and wine aspects.
Frank is a big time collector of watches. He has had everything, including Langes, PP, VC, APs, Breguets etc... But when he travels he wears a Rolex. Above is Frank's Rolex Turn O Graph, notice the new soft lugs and the polished case.

Here is what H wore today ...
H had her new Country Road Cardigan on... quite nice considering CR's ranges the last few years have suffered. But the new seasons stuff is excellent. I just hope its not too late. BTW the secret in buying CR is to wait to the sales (which seem to happen all to often) or the special discoutn vouchers they send out!

I hit the streets next week ...
After testing this site, successfully I might add, it is time to bring more content into the blog. So, as of middle of next week I will hit the streets. I will try and capture the style of Melbourne(if it will let me?). My friend Frank, has designed a card, so I don't look like a pervert taking photos!
Hopefully I will have some scans of what people wear in Melbourne by next week. Wish me luck!

Marta and her new Jaeger LeCoultre watch
This is Marta, Rezo's partner (earlier post). Marta just picked up a Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso Gran Sport. The Reverso is a classic and considered by many horologist a cult icon. The Gran Sport is a sturdier version of the traditional Reverso. The unique feature of the Reverso is its ability to change faces (dials), by flipping or reversing the case (see scan below). Hence it enables Marta to have a "day" dial or a "night" (diamond set) dial! The Reverso was initially manufactured in the 1930's and I consider it a timeless piece (pardon the pun).
Similar to Marta's JLC, but on rubber strap.

H strikes again...another pair of shoes...
Sunday 2nd April (mobile phone goes off during the most riveting Grand Prix I have witnessed in the last 5 years. "Honey, I just found some gorgeous Marc Jacobs on sale, for half price!?" (Notice the question/statement.)
"So?"
"Can I buy them?" H in an excited voice.
"Well, you did buy two pairs yesterday, I will leave it up to you. Use your best judgement." I replied in my dubious voice.
"OK, see you later!"
A couple of hours later....pair of brand new red Marc Jacobs!
This is how H anchored her new Marc Jacobs today... love her T-shirt, which was bought in Zara Dubai...

Rezo and the Australian Grand Prix
Rezo enjoying the day!
I'm a huge Grand Prix fan, to the chagrin of H. I was lucky enough to get an invitation from my mate Rezo, who managed to get a spare ticket for me. We sat on the first corner, at the Brahbam Stand, which had a wonderful view (see second scan). The GP is a great place to watch people, as you get everyone from the die hard petrol heads to the corporate "players" who sometimes have no idea that a F1 race/practice/qualifying is actually on (the F1 engine noise does give it away).
FYI: Rezo is wearing an Omega Speedmaster Day/Date Chronograph. A nice watch that is classical and suited the event we were attending! Thanks Rezo for a great day!
